A resident of Delray Beach, Fla., Harold Laun died Friday, Jan. 22, 1993 at his summer home in Elkhart Lake.
He was born in 1905 in Elkhart Lake, the youngest son of Louis and Adela Laun. He attended Plymouth High School, University of California, Berkeley and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1927.
He began his business career at the First National Bank of Chicago in 1927. In 1933, he joined the firm of F.S. Moseley and Co. and became the managing partner in 1946.
He founded Television Electronics Fund in 1948. He is past chairman of Television Shares Management Corp., past director of Diversey Corp., past director of the University of Wisconsin Foundation, former trustee of Lakeland College, Sheboygan; a member of the Episcopal church and a member of Sigma Phi Fraternity.
He was also a member of St. Andrew's Club, Delray Beach; the University Club and Cliff Dwellers Club, Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Wldmark); two daughters, Gina (Joseph) Jannotta, Chicago; and Katharine (Norman) Olson, Kenilworth, Ill; six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elda Laun and Viola Swartz, and three brothers, Herbert, Lester and Arthur Laun.
