John Franklin DeLauney died at his home in Sharpsburg Monday night at 10:50 o'clock of complications after an illness of 2 weeks, aged 83.
He was a son of the late John T & Louisa E Hammond DeLauney and was born and reared in Sharpsburg. He was a member of St Paul's Episcopal Church.
The following survive: son, Vincent DeLauney, Sharpsburg; daughters, Mrs George Mose and Mrs Glenn Barkdoll, Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs Anna Bender and Mrs Charles Lakin, Sharpsburg. Six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home with the Rev Walter B McKinley assisted by Rev H D Chapman officiating. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
