Miss Lizzie Frank, 81, former city official for 20 years and a pioneer Yuman who was born here 11 June 1884, died Saturday, 25 June 1965, at Parkview Baptist Hospital.
She was daughter of Abe Frank, former mayor, supervisor, superintendent of schools and probate judge until his death in 1903. He also donated the land for the city park and the property on which now stands the Mary Elizabeth Post School.
Miss Lizzie Frank never married. In 1919, she was elected city assessor and tax collector, a post she held until 1939.
She also was the sister of Mrs Carroll (Elfie) Bailey, former assistant postmistress here, who is among her surviors.
She leaves two other sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Morgan of Yuma, and Mrs. Adeline Barr of Los Angeles; and two brothers, Ervin Frank of Kansas City, and Emil Frank of Yuma.
