Funeral services for Clyde Porter, 71, Maury County retired farmer, were held at one o'clock Sunday at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia with the burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in that city. Mr. Porter died Thursday, November 12, in Maury County Hospital.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Unice White Porter; four daughters, Mrs. J. L. White, Buena Vista, Va., Mrs. Frank Collins and Mrs. Pete Bondra, Columbia, and Mrs. Carl Gibson, Jr., Ecorse, Mich.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Broadus Smith, Cornersville, and Mrs. Matt Spivey, Lynnville.
