Abraham Dingman, age 75 years.

Born in Montgomery county 75 years ago and spent most of his life there, following the occupation of a farmer.
He moved to Utica, later to Whitesboro to live with his only son Arthur C. Dingman.
He made and sold home remedies throughout the county.
Abram was married to Amelia Delong, she died in 1910.

**I have Abram being born May 10, 1836 in my records, which would put him at about 81 years old when he died.

"WHITESBORO.
"Abraham Dingman Dead.
"Whitesboro, July 9.--Abraham Dingman of this village died in a Rome hospital yesterday after an illness of a year. He was born in Montgomery county 75 years ago, where he lived up to about 15 years ago, then making his home in Utica. For several years he made his home with his son, Arthur C. Dingman of Clyne place. In his younger days Mr. Dingman followed the vocation of a farmer. Since coming here he had devoted his time to making and selling home remedies. He was a member of the Methodist Church. There survive besides his son, Arthur, six grandchildren. The remains were brought to this village and the funeral will be held from the funeral parlors of J. J. Langdon & Son Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made at Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica."

"Abraham Dingman Who Sold Home Remedies Passes Away in Rome Hospital--Was Well Liked.
"Whitesboro, July 9 [?].--After an illness of a year Abraham Dingman of this village died at a Rome hospital yesterday. He was born in Montgomery county 7_ [75?] years ago and spent most of his life there, following the occupation of a farmer. About 15 years ago he went to Utica, but later came to this village and made his home with his only son, Arthur C. Dingman of Clyne place. Since coming to this section his health has not been of the best and he had devoted his time to making and selling home remedies throughout the county. While pursuing this business he acquired a large acquaintance among people in the county. He was a fluent conversationalist, well posted on the topics of the day and possessed of an optimistic nature that made it a pleasure to meet him. He was a member of the Methodist Church of this village. His wife died at the home of her son here seven years ago.
"There survive beside the son six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The remains were brought to this village last night and the funeral will be held from the funeral parlors of J. J. Langdon & Son to-morrow afternoon. Interment will be made at Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica."
