Born March 17, 1921, in Kewanee, Ill., Bev was the youngest of nine children born to Patrick J. and Beatrice (Kane)Burns. She now joins her sisters, Mildred, Dorothy and Florence and her brothers, William, Francis, Harold, Donald and Michael.
For over 20 years, Bev worked as a dental receptionist and bookkeeper in Peoria for Dr. Donald Brown.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Ralph Baker; daughter-in-law, Christine; step grandchildren, Caryn Eldridge, Ginny Gelms, Bridget Gelms and Naomi Kueter (honorary granddaughter); many nieces and nephews, including Christine Burgess, William Cronau, Ronald Burns, George (Geb) Bailey and Pat Beery; and many good friends, including Chuck and Faye Pierman and Gary and Denise Nash.
She will be interred at a private ceremony next to her husband in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
