Thurs. 3 Aug 1899
This community was shocked Saturday morning to hear of the death of Mrs. Tom Luckason, who passed from life unto death about six o'clock that morning. The summons came very suddenly, as all supposed her to be gaining and out of danger; but the One who doeth all things well saw fit to call her from her bed of suffering to that home prepared for all where suffering and pain are not known. She leaves a bereaved husband and six small children, the youngest a babe of two weeks, an aged mother, besides a number of other relatives to mourn their great loss. May the God of love comfort the sorrowing husband and care for the motherless children is the sincere prayer of this community.
Sleep on dear one, and take thy rest
God calls away when he sees best.
