Walter Aloysius Flynn, son of Catherine E Burke and John Aloysius Flynn, born in Wilkes Barre, Pa.

On September 29, 1907 Walter married Grace Madison in Bayville, New Jersey, and later they lived at 141 Maple Ave., Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey as recorded in the 1910 cens us. Walter was working as a brakeman for a steam railroad.

They celebrated the births of their two sons Frank Walter and John, but the happiness did not last long. On March 12, 1912 Walter suffered a tragic accident while working on the railroad. He was knocked from the train by an overhead bridge. According to newspaper reports his skull was crushed and he died in the ambulance on the way to the Somerset Hospital.

The funeral was held at the home of his parents on Blackman Street, Wilkes Barre, Pa.
A solemn mass of high requiem was celebrated at St.Leo's R.C. Church, Ashley, Pa.

NOTE- Walter's brother Frank J Flynn died just months later on 21 Sept. 1912 and is most likely buried in this plot as well.
