Virginia Naoma McNair, 75, died on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Lake District Long Term Care Facility in Lakeview.

Virginia was born to Floyd and Myrtle (Brown) Martin in Crystal Springs, Ark. on Nov. 8, 1936. She grew up in Arkansas and moved to Lakeview in 1961.

She married Norman McNair on July 21, 1962 in Reno, Nev. She has claimed Lakeview as her home for the past 51 years.

Although Virginia was committed to being a homemaker and taking care of her family, she found the time to be a custodian at Lakeview High School for a few years and also be a flagger for Buswell Flying Service.

She thoroughly enjoyed camping, fishing, canning, cooking, taking care of her flowers, doing needlepoint and the companionship of her dogs. Her greatest source of pleasure was her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister.

Virginia is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Sandi Johnson, Terry and Billie Johnson and Tony and Lisa McNair all of Lakeview; son Richard Johnson of Lakeview; brothers Junior and Kenneth Martin of Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
