Obituary in unknown newspaper, 23 Nov 1975: Harold Wayne Sanford, 52, of 1728 Joye St. West Columbia, died Saturday at his home after a short illness. Born in Orangeburg County, he was a son of Mrs. Cora Sanford and the late Earl Sanford. Mr. Sanford was a member of the First Church of God and was a retired welder. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn C. Sanford; two sons, Billy Wayne Sanford of West Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Carolyn Brigman of Newberry, and Miss Connie Marie Cooper of Cayce; two brothers, Earl Sanford, Jr. of the U. S. Army and Webster M. Sanford of Monroe, N.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Dempsey of Orangeburg, Mrs. Eula Mae Pilot of Aiken and Mrs. Edith Kemmerlin and Mrs. Lovetta Lee of Orangeburg and a granddaughter. Services will be a 2 p.m. Monday in the First Church of God, conducted by the Rev. W. A. Jackson and the Rev. P. D. Montgomery. Burial will be in Southland Memorial Gardens. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.
