Robert was married to Beverly (Love) Wellington. They had no children. They lived for several years in a tiny little one bedroom home at 1310 S. 20th St. LaCrosse, WI. Many of the neighbors were relatives of Beverly.
Robert enlisted in the military on March 11, 1942 at Fort Sheridan. He was a Private First Class. After the military he worked for about 30 years at the LaCrosse Rubber Mills and was a member of Local 19 of the United Rubber, Cork, Linoleum and Plastic Workers of America. He was also a member of Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 52 in LaCrosse, WI. Bob passed away on Dec. 21, 1978 at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 4 days. He was survived by several cousins in the Boscobel and Mount Sterling, WI areas. Blessed be his memory.
