He was a farmer. He sustained head injuries when he and another farmer were trying to pry the wheel of a farm truck out of the mud with a heavy board. The board sprung up and hit him in the head. He developed inflammation of the brain and contracted pneumonia, which led to his death.
He is survived by his parents of East Schuyler, four brothers, Ernie, Clifford, Percy and Kenneth; five sisters, Mrs. Cathlyn Waite, Mrs. Myrtle Aney, Mrs. Leona Hatlow, Mrs. Florence Durrin, and Mrs. Marjorie Mower.
