M. WANDA ROETTGER, 85, died at 10:53 p.m. May 10, 2006, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.

She was born Nov. 8, 1920, in Duchouquet Township, Auglaize County, to Charles and Flora Stevely Lotridge, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 24, 1938, she married Elmo M. Stegeman, who died in July 1981. On May 20, 1986, she married Lowell J. Roettger, who survives.

Mrs. Roettger retired in 1980 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 30 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins, and its Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.

Survivors also include five children, Cynthia (Venard) Fisher and Susan (Raymond) Kohler, both of Wapakoneta, Pamela (Charles) Fyke of Nashville, Tenn., and William Stegeman and Amy (David) Skinner, both of Botkins; two stepchildren, John (Rae Ann) Roettger of New Knoxville and Joan Roettger of Columbus; 13 grandchildren, Anita (Kevin) Schoonover, Holly (Bruce) Steinke, Sara (Kevin) Ott, Benjamin (Jane) Kohler, Anthony (Lydia) Carr, Jeanette (Andy) Templeton, Thomas (Robin) Carr Jr., Brian (Nicole) Skinner, Brandy (Blaine) Martin, Eric Skinner, Cathrine Stegeman, Robert Stegeman and Andrew Roettger; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Inez Lotridge of Wapakoneta.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Carr Sr.; two brothers, John and Clyde Lotridge; and two sisters, Thurza Sheipline and Ruth Metzger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins. The Rev. Patrick Sloneker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.

Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
