Melvin C. Holden, Sr., 89, passed away April 23, 2012, in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Stonewall, TX to John Montgomery Holden and Quinnie Larimore Holden. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eugene "Pinky" Holden; four brothers, Chester, Charles, Jessie, and Lonnie; and one sister, Fern Odom. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Vera Dale Holden; sons, Melvin C. Holden, Jr. and John Gibson; daughter, Dale Lee Farris; and grandchildren, Russell, Derrick, Nick, Hailey, Matt, and Jeff. He is also survived by one great granddaughter Erica.
