The funeral for Mrs. Genevieve E O'Donahue, 76, 712 E McLeod Ave, who died Thursday, will take place Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
The Very Rev. Thomas Ruppe will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home will open for visitation Sunday at 5 p.m. Liturgical prayers will be offered there at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. O'Donahue was born Sept. 23 1908, at Abbotsford, Wisc, daughter of the late Charles and Mary King. She attended school at Mellen, Wis., and graduated from Mellen High School.
On Sept. 23, 1929, she was married to Emmett J O'Donahue at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Mellen, by the Rev. M. A. Schauz.
In 1936, the Donahues moved to Ironwood. she was a cook and waitress in area restaurants may years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, four sons, Emmett J. Jr., Monrose, Wis., Charles T., Tacoma, Wash., David F. Ironwood, and James P., Kennewick, Wash.; one foster son, John Cain Ironwood; two daughters Mary Pozega and Mrs. Richard(Sharon) Cressey, Ironwood; 18 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Michael, Lacey, Wash., and four sisters Evelyn Heyle and Charlotte Fleury, Elgin, Ill, Ann Huerd, Warroad, Minn., and Mrs. Calvin (Margaret) Templeton, Stanwood, Wash.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Thomas and Pardee, and one sister Marian Cain.
