Valeria E. (Kramschuster) Young, 84, a lifelong resident of Bloomer, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2004, at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. She was born on August 10, 1919, to John U. and Mary (Reischel) Marek.
Valeria married Aloysius (Bud) Kramschuster in October 1942, and
had four children. Bud died in 1968. Valarie will marry in July of 1973, Samuel Young and helped him raise his three boys. Sam died in 1997.Valeria E. Valeria married Aloysius (Bud) Kramschuster in October 1942, and
together they raised four children. Bud passed away in 1968; and in July of 1973, she married Samuel Young and helped him raise his three boys. Sam passed away in 1997.
Valeria was generous with her time and talent and gladly shared both with her family, church and community. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, served on the parish council, held office in the Christian Mothers Society and volunteered in the school library. For many years, she was a 4-H leader in drama, music, sewing and volunteered countless hours of her time. In these areas, her organizational skills were legendary.
Valeria is survived by three children, Mary Lou (Patrick) O’Rourke of Janesville, Wis., Sandra (Dennis) Hovland of New Milford, Conn., and Gary (Mikki) Kramschuster of Bloomer; daughter-in-law, Lynda Nehring of Bloomer; seven stepchildren, RheAnn (Bengt) Schulze-Wenck of Germany, Rebecca (Edward) Erickson of Rockford, Ill., Bonnie Young of Cottage Grove, Minn., Bobbie (Patrick) Kieffer of Hoffman Estates, Ill., Keith (Micki) Young of Elk Mound, Tom (Jackie) Young of Delano, Minn., and Jay (Sharon) Young of Bloomer; one sister, Marjorie (Duane) Abrahamson of Bloomer; Valeria is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Valeria was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Aloysius and
Samuel; one son, Alan Kramschuster; six brothers, John, Richard, Gilbert, Vernon, Wilmer and Clifford Marek.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2004, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father James Arthur officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2004, at the Schriver Funeral Chapel in Bloomer and until the time of the Mass on Monday. There will be a P.C.C.W. rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by a 7:30 p.m. Christian wake service at the funeral chapel on Sunday.
