GALATIA -- Charles Oswald Shriver, 92, died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Marion V.A. Nursing Home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with Don Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Dillingham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Dillingham Cemetery.

MARION, ILL. —
Charles Oswald Shriver, 92, of Galatia passed away at 4:50 a.m. Sunday April 22, 2012, at the Marion V.A. Nursing Home.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1919, in Saline Co. to the late George and Margaret (Libby) Shriver.
Charles was a Navy Veteran in World War II and was retired as a self-employed T.V. repairman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to play ping-pong.
He is survived by two sisters, Novella Droit of Benton and Phyllis Gibson of Sawyerville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; and a brother, George Shriver.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from noon to the funeral hour. Don Gibson will officiate with burial in the Dillingham Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dillingham Cemetery
