Monica Montero Bonilla July 21, 1958 - April 9, 2012 She was born in Bakersfield and resided in San Fernando Valley where she attended local schools. Monica is preceded in death by her father John and her Brother Mike. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Yvette and Suzie Montero and Victoria Rivera; mother, Marion Bonilla; sister, Gloria Medina; 2 brothers, Danny and John Bonilla, 14 grandchildren and soon to be great-granddaughter. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had so much love for her family especially her grandchildren whom she loved spending time with. Monica loved to make blankets, crochet scarfs and bring joy to others. Family was top priority to her and she always took care of her mother. She was beautiful inside and out and she was very knowledgeable. Always helping others she never said no, very kind hearted she always brought joy and a smile to everyone's face. She started a career in banking at Great Western Bank which then became Washington Mutual Bank. Once she returned to Bakersfield she became certified as a tax pre-parer with Liberty Tax Service. Monica loved to read, sing oldies and shop. She was so loving and will always be in our hearts. Pallbearers will be: Adam and Joey Ayala, Josh Medina, Chase Rivera, Angel Hoguin and Anthony Roque. The Rosary will be held at St. Francis Church at 7:00pm, Wednesday, April 18th. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 10:00am on Thursday, April 19th, followed by burial at Greenlawn Southwest.
