Robert Williams

CALDWELL — Robert Noah Williams, 83, of 300 Madison street, a resident here for about 10 years, died Thursday afternoon at his home.

Mr. Williams was born March 8, 1877, in Marchfield, Mo., and was married Aug. 18, 1898, in Missouri to Gertie Morris. They farmed for several years in Arkansas and he worked for a railroad for seven years. He was employed on Public Work administration projects until 1943 and then came to Caldwell. He returned to Fort Smith, Ark. for a year in 1954, lived in Nampa for four years and then returned to Caldwell last year.

Mrs. Williams died in 1952 and three sons and a daughter preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Bin Williams of Fort Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Vena Adams of Venice, Calif., and 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
