Daughter of Joseph Cramer Welch and Jeluma White. Married Joseph Emery Holmes on 22 DEC 1887 in Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. Married Joseph Wheeler Vaughn after 10 MAY 1911.

FUNERAL TOMORROW FOR MRS. J. W. VAUGHN
Funeral services for Mrs. J. W. Vaughn, who died at 1:20 o'clock this morning at her home on 102 South Allen street, will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. E. H. Farmer, under the direction of Albert Skinner. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Albert Skinner Home for Funerals until the hour of services.
Martha Jane Welch was born in Randolph County on June 18, 1873. She joined the Methodist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member throughout her life.
The late Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her husband, J. W. Vaughn of Macon; five children, Mrs. Pearl Thompson of Roseberg, Ore, Mrs. Elva Wyrick of Macon, Otis Holmes of Roseburg, Ore.; Howard Holmes of Timewell, Ill., and Cloyce Holmes of Waco, Tex.; four brothers, Warren, Ed, Ben and Perry; and three sisters, Mrs Emma Chick, Mrs. R. S. Halley and Mrs. Sanner Perkins.
She was preceded In death by three children, Ester, Gladys and Leonard; one brother, George; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Holmes.
