Funeral service Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Rev. Harold D. Coomer, Rev. William R. Davenport and Rev. Steve Pescosolido the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Saturday, at the funeral home.

She was born Friday, December 31, 1915, in Sparksville, Adair County, KY, the daughter of William "W.L." & Flora Curry. She died Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in Monroe, Ohio, at the age of 100 years, one month, and 24 days.
Edith was formerly a resident of Columbia and Campbellsville, KY where she & her late husband, Cager, owned and managed a grocery store. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dimple Curry, Blanche Turner & twin-sister, Edra Cornelison; and one brother, Billy Curry. Mrs. Coomer is survived by:
One sister, Dessie Tatum of Florida
Two sons, David L. (Shannon) Coomer of Monroe, OH & Harold D. (Vivecia) Coomer of Decatur, AL
Seven grandchildren, Kimberly (Doug) Anderson, Dana (Jonathan) Morgan,Amy (Raphael) Avila, Chad Coomer, Soni (Rob) Lukens, Misti (Jason) Palmer, and Kristi (Michael) Thrasher
