He was born to the late Fred T. Annis and Phoebe Cox Annis on May 3, 1931, in McDowell County. Mr. Annis was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was known as a master carpenter and home-builder. He was a loving and prideful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sara Fox Annis; a granddaughter, Sara Britney Annis; three brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are his son, Allan Annis and wife, Renee of Bogart, Ga.; two daughters, Andra Keller and husband, Mark of Hickory and Audrey Annis of Morganton; three grandchildren, Scott Annis, Danielle Annis and Keith Keller; three sisters, Katherine Silver of Union, S.C., Hazel Sarvis of Bessemer City and Jane Clontz and husband, Tom of Morganton. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.
