James Pierce son of Jessie Ventom De Friez & Walter Pierce Hunter. James was the youngest of five children & their only son.

Married Barbara Jean Herron on November 12, 1958 in Los Angeles, California.
They had three children together.

Mr. and Mrs. James Pierce Hunter (Barbara Jean Herron) spoke their marriage vows at the LosAngeles Mormon Temple before Pres. Benjamin L. Bowring. After a buffet dinner and reception later at Glendale East Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the newlyweds left for a SanFrancisco and Sacramento honeymoon.
Members of the Wedding Party and special guests enjoyed the buffet dinner at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joel C. Herron of 1848 Kirkby Road. Mr.& Mrs. John A. Bell were hosts at the reception, and assistants were Mr. & Mrs. William Lewis, Mrs. Hilton Marx, Mrs. Raymond Arbon, Mrs. Melvin Tall, Mrs. Bruce Bell, and Misses Janette Day, Kathy Kearl, Shirley Huerta, Carol Nelson, jane Lewis, Susan Henrichsen & Myrna Blanding.
To receive guests the bride wore a white miramist taffeta gown fashioned with scalloped neckline and accented with re-embroidered lace, seed pearls & iridescent sequins. Her matching seed pearl and iridescent sequin crown caught a silk illusinon veil. She carried white carnations, orange blossoms & orchids.
The newlyweds will live in Paso Robles after the honeymoon.
The Bride attended Glendale High School and Glendale College. Her bridegroom studied at Coalinga High School, & received his engineering degree from Utah State University.
Coming from out of the city for the occasion were the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Jessie V. Hunter of Visalia; his sisters, Mrs. Tessie Burch of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Jessie Jones of Visalia and Mrs. Jack Bowns of Sacramento, Mr. & Mrs. Brighan Rees and Mr. & Mrs. Spencer Rees of Lao, Utah.
