Volney Cicero Inglehart, 59m died this morning at 1:30 at Jennie Stuart Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health since last January and suffered a stroke about an hour before death.

He was born in Marshall County Feb. 13, 1891 and the only son of Louis and Lennie Iglehart.

Mr. Iglehart had been in the garage business since 1932 when he opened the Little Shop on Main. He operated the shop until ill health forced him to sell out and retire last February. His clever quips in advertising in the Kentucky New Era under the "Deacon Says", will be remembered by his friends and associates.

He was a loyal and active member of the Shriners and the Elks.

The survivors are his widow, Mrs. Agnes Rich Iglehart; one daughter, Mrs. David Scarlett of Florham Park, N. J.; a son, Louis Iglehart of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Deice and Lee Iglenart and Patrisha Scarlett; a half-sister, Mrs. Melvin Heltsley and a half-brother, Roy Iglehart of Madisonville.

The funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Keightley Funeral Home, South Main Street, by Dr. P. C Walker, pastor of the Pembroke Baptist Church. Dr. Walker was one of his close friends. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

The pall bearers will be Jake Sabel, W. L. Cannon, Eston Glover, Whit Hall, Terry Cunningham and Douglas Adams.
