WEST COLUMBIA Emma Lynette Sharpe, 81, wife of S.D. Sharpe, died Feb. 28, 1999. Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Emory Odell and Etta Clide Whitt Attaway. Formerly of Saluda, she had lived in West Columbia since 1932. She was a member of Cayce First Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. Survivors include her husband of West Columbia; a sister. Annie Myrtle Jacobsen of Columbia; a brother, Harold Lloyd Attaway of Savannah, Ga.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cayce First Baptist Church by the Rev. Wendell Dixon. 'Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Mark Attaway, Clint Attaway, Russell Long, Steve Long, Ralph Long and Kenneth Long. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Homemakers Sunday School Class of the church. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Cayce First Baptist Church or to Palmetto Hospice. Thompson Funeral Home is -in charge.
