He was born May 29, 1889, at Rulo, Neb. He moved to Neosho in 1933 from Newtonia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Golda Hurn, two sons, Bert Hurn, Kansas City, and Russell Hurn, Joplin, two daughters, Mrs. Fern Fortney, Terrance, Calif., and Maxine Mitchell, Neosho, a brother, John Hurn, Granby, a sister, Bernice Dickens, Seaside, Calif., 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
