HARRIS H. BAKER
---Harris H. Baker, seventy-nine, a retired farmer, died suddenly at 7:30 p.m. Monday at his home in Atlanta. He had been in poor health for thirteen years.
---Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. James Marshall and Rev. William Stone.
---Mr. Baker was born September 23, 1881 in Pulaski County. He had lived all his life on a farm east of Atlanta, moving to Atlanta a few years ago when he retired. He joined Mt. Tabor Baptist church in early life and later transferred his membership to the Atlanta Baptist Church.
---In August, 1901 he was united in marriage to Martha Pointer who died in June, 1911. To their union four children were born, Mrs. C.W. Roemer of Columbia, Mrs. Noel Belt of Atlanta and Ervin M. and Charley Baker, who are deceased.
---He was married in April, 1921, to Gladys Lorue Blomberg who survives, as do their four children, Wendell H. Baker of Atlanta, Mrs. Ervel Lock of La Plata, Warren K. Baker of Macon and Wayne A. Baker of Floris, Iowa.
---Also surviving are a brother, Othel of Macon; a sister, Mrs. Wilbur Manning of Atlanta, eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and other relatives.
