Anna L Bates, my 1st cousin 3x removed, was born about June 1879 in New Jersey, probably in Cinnaminson. She is the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Hannah Russell Shaw Bates. She never married and lived with her parents her entire life. She work as a dress maker at home in 1910. She probably took care of the house for her father after her mother died in 1918. Anna died of a carcinoma of the lung at the age of 48. She was buried at the Ashbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cinnaminson, New Jersey on February 14, 1931.
