Rachel Imogene Weatherby 78 died Friday April 20, 2012. She conquered cancer 27 years ago but she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Friday. She was born in Arkansas and moved to Texas with her family in the "Dust Bowl" years.

Preceded in death by her husband Joe Weatherby; Parents Virginia and Lee Keaton; 2 brothers Wayne and Don Keaton; and one sister Sybil North.

Rachel is survived by daughter Jackie Ann Cypert and husband Ron of Midland; son Robert Cowan and wife Ingrid of Mansfield, Texas; brother Bernie Keaton and wife Pat of Midland; sister-in-law Mary Belle Keaton of Stanton; nephew Ulen North Jr and wife Beverly of Stanton; 2 grand-nephews Heath North and wife Amy of Stanton and Trey North and wife Shawn of Loving, New Mexico and their families.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday April 24, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Hospice Chaplain Jan Reed officiating.
