Homer Howard Pickens 95,of Wake Village, Texas died Sunday, June 6,2004 in a local hospital. Mr. Pickens was born September 4,1908 in DeKalb, Texas. He was retired owner of Pickens Typewriter Supply Co., and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife,Beatrice Hamric Pickens of Wake Village; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and Herb Murray of Wake Village; one sister, LaVern Chastain of DeKalb; four grandchildren, Bob Murray, Randy Murray and Amanda Boyd of Texarkana; and Brent Murray of Waco, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harlie Patterson and R.G. Womack officiating. Texarkana Daily Gazette, June 8,2004.
Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
