Mrs. Hazel Gaston Clark, 86, died December 31, 2017 at the Wayne T. Patrick House in Rock Hill, SC. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Tabernacle Ministries with Reverend Kenneth Compton and Pastor Frankie Sneed officiating. The interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Tabernacle Ministries and other times at the home of Debra and Kenneth Compton.
Born August 23, 1931 in Lockhart, SC, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Carl Lawrence Gaston and Kate Love Gaston. She was a graduate of Blackstock High School and retired from Springs Industries. Mrs. Clark was a member of Tabernacle Ministries. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and her great grands. She also enjoyed cooking and she loved Elvis. She is preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Jessie T. “Joe” Clark, two grandchildren, Tommy Clark and Jeffrey Clark and four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by six children, Eddie “Shine” Clark of Lockhart, SC, Donnie Clark, Ronnie Clark, Ralph “Bud” Clark (Sue) all of Chester, SC, John “Skip” Clark (Lisa) of Rock Hill, SC and Debra Compton (Kenneth) of Blackstock, SC; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one brother, Jack Gaston (Mott) of Lockhart, SC.
