He was retired from C&O Railway with 40 years' service, serving as a foreman for the Car Department, Hinton, at the time of his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Boone Masonic Lodge 162, Whitesville, and Miller Memorial Methodist Church, Bellepoint.
Surviving: wife, Anna Marie Epperly Harvey; daughters, Susan Janette Harvey of Williamsburg, Va., Nancy R. Richmond of Hinton, Betty Ann Haynes of Cross Lanes; brother, Lloyd E. Harvey of Nimitz; sisters, Elsie Brandon and Myrtle Harvey Adkins, both of Hinton, Martha Headington of Clara, Mich.; six grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor, Hinton, with Pastor Sterling Morgan and Pastor Carl Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral parlor.
