Cora Daman, was born March 6, 1905 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma to Henry and Mary Smart. Mrs. Daman worked as a teacher then Southwestern Bell Telephone as an Operator, and then later went to work for the Social Security Administration in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Daman was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon W. Daman April 15, 1970. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Gordon Daman and his wife, Glenda; three grandchildren, Geri Lyn Daman, Gordon L. Daman Jr. and his wife, Tobi, and Greg Daman of Midland, and a sister, Lucille Wilson of Checotah, OK. Cora Daman died on Monday, May 7, 2001 at a local nursing home. Graveside services have been scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Thursday, May 10, 2001 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK. with Rev. Bennie Walker and Rev. Bob Winslow officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Paylor Funeral Home. The family request that memorials be directed to Alzheimer's Association or the charity of choice.
