Frances Sue Newton Walker, 64, of 353 Woodrow Hoyle Road, passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009.

Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Norris Newton and Texie Mozell Canipe Newton. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and a retired home aid from CNC Access.

In addition to her parents, a sister, Joann Martin, preceded Mrs. Walker in death.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Gerald Walker; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jeannie Walker and Eddie and Pam Walker, all of Casar; two brothers, Junior Newton and Ralph Newton, both of Valdese; five sisters, Mary Buff of Morganton, Ruby Swafford of Drexel, Ethel Moses of Casar, Marie Spade of Arkansas and Hazel Crawley of Vale; and three grandchildren, Edie Walker, Ethan Walker and Troy Walker.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston. At other times, the family will be at the home of Eddie and Pam Walker, 122 Golden Valley Road, Casar.
Graveside service: Wednesday at 1 p.m., at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar.
