KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Harold Franklin Strader, 58, died May 13, 1993, at Bethany Medical Center, Kansas City.
He was born Nov. 1, 1934, at Hutchinson, the son of Harold James and Ruth Underwood Strader. He was a Lyons High School graduate and did postgraduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and Avila College (in elementary education), and graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor of arts in biology and social science. A Kansas City resident for 30 years, he was executive housekeeper for the Americana Hotel, Kansas City.
He was a member of the AME Church, Lyons.
He married Geraldine Morris. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Lancelot A., Wichita, Todd J., Cincinnati, and Rhett D., Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Kathleen R. Rappel, Washington, D.C.; parents, Lyons; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Friesen presiding. Burial will be in the Lyons Municipal cemetery.
