66, widower of Shirley Ann Cartwright Ackerman, passed away at 1:49 AM Friday, April 20, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
A native of Cottageville, SC, he was the son of the late John and Rosa Wilson Ackerman. Mr. Ackerman served in the Navy and worked in manufacturing for the Trane Co.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Ackerman and John (Nicole) Ackerman; two brothers, Jerry (Beverly) Ackerman and Tony (Karen) Ackerman; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Jackie was proceeded in death by a sister, Shirley Ashcraft.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, April 23, 2012 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Pat Finley. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
