Alice Duncan Shumate Yount, 57, of 105 Richardson Street, Midway, died Monday, January 13, at her home. She was a retired 35 year employee of Texas Instruments. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Lewis, Versailles, and Sue McKnight, Florida; her stepmother, Della Duncan, Lexington; two sisters, Sarah Hotham, Georgetown, and Jennifer Marcum, Lexington; two brothers, Jerry Duncan, Pennsylvania, and James Duncan, Alabama; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, January 16, at the Midway Baptist Church by the Rev. Jamie Broome. Burial will be in the Midway Cemetery. Active casket bearers will be Mark Adams, Gene Boarland, Dan Wright, Carl Wardloe, George Olbur and Gary Robinson. Honorary bearers will be deacons of the Midway Baptist Church, and Leo Ginter, George Adams and Bennie Burrows. Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel, Versailles, in in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributionas are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
