Everett G. Goode -RYE -
Everett G. Goode 44, of 239 Wallis Road, died yesterday in Manchester.
Born in Bangor, Maine, July 27, 1925, he was the son of Kenneth E. Goode, Sr. and the late Josephine Abbott Goode.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. For a number of years he was a pipefitter at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and later in private industry in the Bangor area.
Besides his father, survivors include a son, Jack, of Okinawa; a daughter, Mrs. Jill Fredericks of Toccoa, Ga.; a grandchild; one brother, Kenneth E. Goode, Jr. of Rye, and several nieces and nephews.
------------------------------------------------------------
In a letter I received (Jill) 12-15-1977 from Everett's brother Kenneth he wrote the following
about my father:
"Your father Everett Gavell Goode was my only brother we had no sister.
He was a friendly easy and out going youngster when we were kids and he never changed from
that. When he became a man even in his thirty's and up until the time the Lord called him home
so he would suffer no more with his sickness (sugar diabetes) at the age of 44.
He was always friendly and easy to get along with. He liked people young and old and animals.
He frequently would bring home a stray cat.
Everett was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a construction worker in civilian life.
He only had one wife and he said to me once "In the eyes of the Lord he was still married to her."

Everett Gavel Goode attended schools in the Bangor, Maine area and graduated from Bangor
High School. He served three years in the United States Navy. He was in World War II. He
was an apprentice plumber for C. N. Babb Company in Bangor, Maine. He was also a carpenter
by trade and worked mostly as a carpenter through out his life.
