Ben Tillman Eason, Sr. (Tillman) was the son of James Robert Eason and Lillie M. Outen Eason, and the grandson of James Tillman Eason and Martha Asineth Southwell Eason. He married Anna Kathryn Jones (Kathryn) on 20 Dec 1942. The couple had two children, Connie L. and Ben Tillman Eason, Jr. (Ben).

The Tillman Eason family lived in the Undine community and were faithful members of Eason's Chapel United Methodist Church. Tillman Eason was a quiet gentleman, church leader, Sunday School teacher, farmer, husband, and father who was always concerned for others. He was one of 3 children born to James Robert and Lille M. Outen Eason. His siblings were Wilma G. Eason Wilkes and James Robert Eason, Jr.
