Harold Joseph Lyvers, 78, Lebanon Junction, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at his residence. He was a native of Samuels, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired assembly line worker for General Electric Appliance Park, Louisville. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8293 in Lebanon Junction.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lyvers Gaskins; a grandson, Daniel Wayne Gaskins; and his parents, Lillian and Albert Lyvers.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Magdalen Booth Lyvers ; three daughters, Sandra Ann Lyvers Hollaway, Lebanon Junction, Annette Lyvers, Mount Washington; and Janice Lyvers Wiseman, Elizabethtown; two sons, David Wayne Lyvers, Boston, and Patrick "Pat" Lyvers, Lebanon Junction; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen Graham, Marie Hinton and Mary Heath, all of Lebanon Junction.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Temple Hill Apostolic Church, Boston, with burial in St. Clare Cemetery, Colesburg. The Rev. Bruce Perry will officiate.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Friday at Kappel Funeral Home, Lebanon Junction, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
