Born Aug. 25, 1946, she passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, following a determined battle with breast cancer over the past year.
Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
Kathy was born and raised in Oak Park and moved to Green Valley, AZ from Barrington in late 1999. She was gentle and loving with a spirit and will that far transcended her petite stature. Her faith and trust in God guided her throughout her life.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 36 years, John; sons, Michael (Julie) of Schaumburg and Eric of Chicago; granddaughters, Natasha and Danielle; brother, William (Toni) Tieman of Grayson, GA; and a sister, Beth (John) Anderson of Lake in the Hills.
Her many nieces and nephews will miss their special Aunt Kathy. Her family and friends will fondly remember her special warmth and charm. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Florence Tieman.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
