Wife of Fred H. Smith

Mrs. Fred H. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Nece passed away at the age of 83 years and 13 days. She way born in Blue Island, Ill. She was married Sept. 21, 1893 to Fred H. Smith.
She is survived by eight children and three sisters and a brother. The children are; Fred M. of Spencer, Frank of Superior, George of Superior, Linus of Estherville, Mrs. David Wellman of Verndale, Minn., Mrs. John Moeller of National City, Calif., Mrs. J. R. Delaney of Sioux City, and Mrs. Fern Loudermilk of Spencer. The three sisters are: Mrs. Anna O'Dea of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Rickie [Rickena A.] Cooper of Long Beach, Calif., Miss Bessie Nece of Long Beach, and brother Mike Nece of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church in Estherville Tuesday, Oct. 30 with Father J. J. Duhigg officiating. Special Music was provided by Mrs. Joe Erpelding. Pallbearers were: Francis Linus, Fred, Ronald Smith, Frank Seplutner, and Ralph Walsh. Interment was in the St. Margaret's cemetery in Spirit Lake.
