Frankie Elaine Black was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on January 3, 1936 the daughter of the late John Henry Black, Sr. and Ethel Alexander Black.
She married Guy Beam, Jr. and had one son. She was married to Fred Fulbright, Jr. until his death in 1981. She and Fred Fulbright, Jr. had two daughters.
Frankie was a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church, Lincoln County, North Carolina, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the church council, the choir and the United Methodist Women. Frankie was also a member of the Cherryville American Legion Post 100 Ladies Auxiliary and Past Worthy Matron and member of Cherryville Chapter 156 Order of the Eastern Star.
