George Bauer died at his home in Loup City Monday of this week very suddenly. He was sixty six years past, and had been feeling about in his ordinary health up to the time of his death. He was repairing a pair of shoes, which was his business, when he was stricken and died within a very short time very peacefully.
The deceased was born in France September 17th, 1856, and died at his home here Monday March 12th, at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 23 days. Mr. Bauer came to Loup City about two years ago and was married. He has since resided in this city and has made his living by repairing shoes, having spent almost his entire life in a shoe factory, and was a first class workman. His relatives were notified of his death and some of them arrived here Wednesday evening. Funeral services were conducted from the home at 1:30 Thursday afternoon, and from the German Lutheran church at 2:00 o'clock the Rev. Marshall, officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
