Daniel P. Ahern, 76, of 1 Pearl St. died Dec. 19 after a long illness. A life-long resident of Somerville, he was a retired member of the teamsters union of transportation and business. Mr. Ahern was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret Ahern and is survived by two sisters, Lillian Baird and Olive Clough, both of Somerville. A funeral was held from the A. A. Duncan Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Benedict's Church. Interment was at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
