Joseph Benjamin Elliott

Shawnee resident Joseph Benjamin Elliott died Thursday at his home. He was 31.

Elliott was born May 18, 1968, in Henrietta, Texas, to Dugan and Juanita (Griggs) Elliott. He attended Faith 7 School until the age of 21. He was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Elliott, Shawnee; brother, Dugan Louis Elliott Jr., Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Wayne and Glenda Elliott, Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Patricia Lou Elliott, Shawnee; uncles, John Elliott and Ralph Griggs; aunts, Jane Craven, Maxine Bryce and Helen Amerson; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Lt. Carlye Gargis and Maj. Richard Brittle officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
