James Curtis "J.C." Wood, age 11, of Quapaw, Oklahoma, passed away at his home of kidney failure, following an illness.

Son of Lawrence Leroy "Slim" and Charlotte Jane "Lottie" Large Wood.

Brother to Sis, Betty, Bob, Bud, Son, Gene, and Alvie. He was the 7th of eight children.

He died at the age of 11 from a form of Scarlet Fever that caused his kidneys to fail.
