Heath was a really laid back Springer Spaniel mix who was adopted from the Humane Society. He was good natured, kind, and loyal. His biggest thrill was discovering once after a snowstorm that he could walk over the drifts next to the fence. Unfortunately for his humans, as the snow melted, Heath also realized that he could jump the fence as well. Heath's greatest accomplishment was that he once actually caught a squirrel - which he would have sent to squirrel heaven had he not been slapped by the business end of a broom. Heath died of a brain tumor when still a young dog. I like to think he's waiting by the bridge and he and the squirrel have reconciled.
