According to the 1910 U.S. Census for Longwood township, Pettis county, Missouri, Robert and Lulu and their five children were living next to his parents, James F. and Rachel J. Scott. Robert owned a farm free of a mortage. They had been married fourteen years at this time and it was the first marriage for each of them. Lulu's father was born in Kentucky and her mother was born in Ohio acccording to the census record. Lulu was the mother of five, all of whom were living at the time of enumeration on 28 April 1910.
Lula P. Scott died at the age of 80 from heart disease. She was married to Robert E. Scott at the time of her death at home at 1305 E. 9th St., Sedalia, Mo. The informant on her death certificate was Mrs. Fred Brummett of Sedalia, Mo.
Note: Census records gave her name as Lulu but her death record was Lula. It is unclear which was correct.
