HOPKINS Marjorie Evelyn Hopkins, age 75, was born to Preston and Lauren Davis of Lee County, MS on September 13, 1936. She learned to appreciate her faith in Jesus Christ being raised in a minister's family. This deep seated faith generated a love for family that extended to friends and neighbors in such a way she made everyone feel like family. She made her home comfortable to all who entered her doors. Her career was her family and friends of whom she was sister, wife, mother, and MawMaw; using hospitality as the blessing she shared with everyone. A good sandwich, a glass of tea, and a good conversation might be simple but MawMaw would say it was a great way to spend the afternoon. Marjorie died on Sunday, April 15, 2012 and is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles A. Hopkins; grandson, Brandon Butler and great granddaughter, Gracie Hopkins.
